Protein is particularly helpful for promoting fullness, and eggs provide a convenient source of it.

Research has found that egg-based breakfasts may increase feelings of fullness compared with some carbohydrate-heavy breakfasts.

In one randomized crossover study involving overweight and obese adults, participants ate either eggs and toast or a cereal-based breakfast containing a similar number of calories. After the egg breakfast, participants reported less hunger and consumed less energy at lunch four hours later.
