The Trial Walsh Had Been Following
Lindsay Clancy is a Massachusetts mother and former labor-and-delivery nurse who was charged in the January 2023 deaths of her three children at the family’s home in Duxbury.
Her children were Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, who was an infant. Clancy pleaded not guilty to three murder charges, while her defense argued that she had been suffering from postpartum depression and psychosis and was not criminally responsible.
The central question in Clancy’s case concerned her legal responsibility given her mental condition at the time. Prosecutors rejected the defense argument and said the evidence showed she understood what she was doing.
